Getting There

It was quite a journey to get to the island itself. We took a flight from Singapore and arrived in Male the night before. We stayed at a local hotel for the night and then took a small plane from the Male Airport to a smaller airport. The flight was about an hour long. Afterwards, we got on a speedboat which was about 45 mins to the resort.

Birds Eye View of the Island

The resort is its own private island, and as you can see from the birds eye photo here it is a pretty small island.

Chilling on a Private Island

Although the resort was fully booked according to the staff, we still felt like it was not very crowded at all as we were able to relax on the beach without seeing many other guests.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The entire island is the resort itself so it is very secluded and private.

  • The house reef is amazing and water visibility is excellent for snorkelling and seeing a lot of sea life.
  • We chartered a boat to take us further into the Indian Ocean to see dolphins in the wild during sunset which was spectacular.
  • There are 3 types of accommodations which are staying at an over water villa, a beach front pool villa or a beach front villa which is the most basic type. We stayed in all 3 during our 5 days there to get the full experience. The over water villa was my favourite.
  • We had our own private concierge service who was very attentive and the resort staff are very friendly and attentive in general.
  • Spa treatments although expensive are fantastic as the staff are very knowledgeable and professional.
  • The resort grounds are well maintained and clean in general.
  • Overall it was a very relaxing place for a romantic honeymoon.

Hope you enjoyed this post. Have a wonderful day!
