Celebrating my Birthday in Disneyland

Celebrating my birthday in Disneyland was such a magical experience! It really is the happiest place on earth. Justin & I spent 2 (separate) days at Disneyland and California Adventure Park. I loved that you get to wear a pin on your birthday and everyone wishes you happy birthday where ever you go. Definitely makes a birthday girl feel special!

For my outfit, I knew that it was going to be a hot day and that I wanted to be comfortable and stay cool. I paired this cute striped off the shoulder crop top from Wilfred Free, Aritzia with distressed denim overalls from Forever 21. Carrying a bag is a hassle at theme parks and I really liked that the overalls had big pockets for me to store my phone, wallet card and lip gloss.

This year is the 60th Diamond Anniversary celebration at Disneyland and there is a special fireworks summer finale show that was absolutely incredible! The Paint the Night parade was an amazing highlight and definite must see as well. My favourite rides were the Star Wars ones (Hyperspace Mountain and Star Tours) which I'm glad we did first thing since the wait times were really long later in the day. I had a lot of fun screaming my head off on the Indiana Jones and Splash Mountain rides too.

We went to Napa Rose at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel for dinner. After an intense and exhausting day at Disneyland, I was ready for a relaxing night. I wanted to dress up a bit for my birthday dinner and wore this long halter dress by Zara with a floral kimono from Victoria's Secret.

Napa Rose is a really elegant and grand restaurant. The food was delicious and they have an extensive wine menu. The restaurant gave me a complimentary dessert for my birthday which was nice! Mmm... such a rich and indulgent chocolate cake. We ended the night with the late fireworks show at Disneyland which was a perfect way to end a full day of birthday fun.

We spent the next day at California Adventure Park which was a blast as well. My favourite ride was the Radiator Springs Racers at Carsland which is probably the most popular ride there so it's definitely a ride to do first thing you get in. I especially enjoyed the Frozen musical. It was such an incredible live performance with impressive production value.

In the evening, we had dinner at Carthay Circle Restaurant inside California Adventure Park. We had the 3 course, prix fixe menu which allowed us to get preferred reserved seating to watch the World of Colour show through their dining package. The food and service were excellent, plus not having to worry about waiting in line was great and the section we were in gave us a prime view to enjoy the show. Such a wonderful, nostalgic and magical experience!
