Distressed Denim Jeans for Spring 2018

We're in that transitional month of April where the weather feels more like Fall with all the rain and clouds. However, Spring is just around the corner, and I am so excited for a change of season!

I've been really into distressed denim jeans lately for casual weekend wear. I bought a pair of Citizens of Humanity (the ones I'm wearing here are the Rocket Crop High-Rise Skinny jeans) a while ago, and love how flattering the fit and style is. It also feels more comfortable over time with each wear. The crop is a shorter inseam (great length for petite women!), and I totally am all for high-rise fits as it contours your shape and makes you feel super comfortable. I'm aware that the brand I'm wearing is a bit of an investment item, however the amount of wear you get out of it and how versatile it is does make it a worthwhile purchase for the quality. I've also rounded up a few similar looks (scroll down below) from different brands if you're on the hunt for a new pair of distressed denim jeans!

As for the distressed look, I know you can either love or hate rips or holes in jeans depending on the style. I prefer a more subtle look to keep things simple and organic looking. Also, I should share some advice when it comes to putting them on - be extra careful when wearing them! I accidentally ripped the holes out of my jeans even more when I put them on too quickly one time (oops!) hahah.
