What I Wore: August to September
It’s been a while since I last posted so I thought I’d share some updates. The last couple months felt like it just vanished before my eyes! It was a crazy, busy, wonderful time full of exciting change and growth. J & I went to Vegas for the Labour Day long weekend for a relaxing and fun vacation, and we got back into a routine at home now that I feel like I’ve finally settled into our new house. I also transitioned back to a more structured work schedule, after doing freelance work for a while. So, it’s been quite the adjustment for me but I’m super grateful with where I’m at right now and am thankful for opportunities and challenges that have allowed me to get outside my comfort zone.
I had an incredible summer, and am happy that Fall ‘18 is here. Next weekend will be the Thanksgiving holiday, and it’ll be my first time ever hosting a home cooked dinner for my family at my new place so I’m looking forward to some quality time with my loved ones and a chance to embrace my #adulting skills haha. I hope you enjoy the beginnings of Fall and feel inspired by the new change in season.
I’ve packed away my summer outfits to make room for my Fall wardrobe, and have fully embraced maintaining a capsule closet containing only key pieces that bring me joy. It’s a mindful practice for me to invest in timeless pieces only and live a more minimal lifestyle. You’ll notice in my outfits here that I frequently re-wear my favourite pieces, but because I just simply can’t repeat outfits, I have a ton of fun styling them into different looks. So here is a recap of #whatiwore transitioning from August to September.
