"How do I pack enough clothes for a month long vacation?"
That was the first thing that popped into my head when I was planning my vacation! I still don't really know how I did it, but I knew I had to pack light so I had no choice but to keep it simple. Plus, I had the intention of doing a lot of shopping while on vacation so that helped too haha.
As some of you know already, I went on my honeymoon and traveled for a month in Southeast Asia earlier this year. The idea of packing outfits for a whole month was at first daunting to me! However, since I was traveling to places with sunny tropical weather, it made things easier as all I needed were the essentials like denim shorts, skirts, dresses, blouses and basic everyday pieces.
Going from the city to an island resort destination also helped simplify my daily what to wear dilemma. Luckily, when you're on an island, you can get away with swimwear by day and a simple dress or jumpsuit by night. Mixing things up with accessories is also a really easy way to polish up your look!
There were so many different types of activities on our itinerary, from adventurous treks into the jungles of Phuket and sailing trips in Maldives to art galleries in Singapore and sightseeing the temples of Chiang Mai. Naturally, pre-planning outfits depending on the day's events and weather was necessary. In other words, let's make sure I dress to survive the insane humidity lol. Sometimes, real talk - you've got to sacrifice looking cute for comfort and be totally okay with that. I always believe that when you feel comfortable, you will naturally feel confident no matter what you're wearing.
What I love about traveling is getting to experience the street style and fashion of a new destination. I also love to shop while traveling (haha who doesn't!?) and discovered local brands that were a great fit for petite women that are featured in this post. Here is a compilation of all the outfits I wore while on vacation.
