A Mini Life Update: I'm Married!
A Mini Life Update:
a lifestyle post
It's been a while (8 weeks, but who's counting?) since I've posted on my blog. However, I have a forgivable reason because, well... I got married! The last couple months leading up to my wedding day have just been one wild and amazing whirlwind of a journey. Time has flown by so quickly for me, as I went into full wedding planning and preparation mode and started working part time at one of my favourite brands as a style advisor. So needless to say, I've been quite preoccupied.
Although my heart aches a bit that I haven't been blogging, I'm glad I took a break for a while because it allowed me to be fully engaged and proactive in order to stay in the present to really savour and enjoy my wedding festivities. It's true when people say that your wedding day will be the happiest day of your life. I don't think I've ever been happier in my life! I feel so blessed to have our loved ones fly in from all over the world to celebrate our special day with us in Maui, Hawaii. After our wedding, Justin and I went to Kauai, the beautiful Garden Island of Hawaii, which was the perfect environment for a quiet and romantic mini-moon.
Now that we're back home in Vancouver, we're adjusting back to domestic life, getting ready to celebrate our first festive season as a married couple, and eagerly anticipating our honeymoon in January where we'll be traveling to Singapore, Thailand, Maldives and Malaysia for 35 days.
I can't wait to share with you more about my wedding in future blog posts. I have a few ideas I've been wanting to blog about from topics like my bridal beauty routine, wedding planning tips and hacks to save money and time, to my personal thoughts about my growth so far as a woman discovering more about life and love.
Until then, here is a teaser film of our wedding day that was created by our talented videographer (thank you Nate!), and a couple photos of my husband (still getting used to saying that haha) and I the day after our wedding, totally relaxed and enjoying every minute of newlywed bliss.
Thanks for reading my blog post. Sending love, light and good vibes out always.
